On a recent photowalk in Dungeness with the cool kids, TheRandyManCan and Madam L (Mr Jam unfortunately can’t come out to play!!), we decided to go ahead with the “photographer’s shootout” idea we thought up several moons ago.

The idea is a very simple one – One location. One theme. A bunch of REALLY cool photographers. SHOOTOUT!!!!

I won’t go into details on the judging etc etc, but the winner gets….wait for it, drum roll please…. The recognition that you’re THE COOLEST KID ON THE BLOCK!!! Oh, and all the pints you can drink at the local pub.

I revisited Dungeness yesterday, and this time with my partner-in-crime Randall and the oh-so-gawjust Madam L (aka Sandra). The day started with the train ride from East Croydon to Ashford International, and since it WAS my birthday, drinking was definitely on the agenda!!! (We actually didn’t get to Dungeness till 5:30ish… hahaha…) When we got to Ashford the pub was literally next door!!! Pub it is then…

An hour or so later, we hopped onto the 11 bus to Lydd (which took another hour or so as the bus went EVERYWHERE!!!). Off the bus and straight into another pub – The George for more drinks and late lunch (the food was EXCELLENT and the staff warm and welcoming considering the fact that an American, a German and a Chinaman walked into the bar!! Surely there must be a joke here somewhere!!!)…..

Way too much alcohol and great food later, we decided to walk from Lydd to Dungeness as my iPhone’s GPS said it’s only 3.6miles. BUT what we didn’t realise was that it is 3.6 miles from Lydd to the beginning of Dungeness.. it took another 3 miles or so to get to the beach!!! LOL!!! Sandra thought she could hitch a ride, but she had no chance whatsoever with Randall and myself trailing behind her!!!!

All in all, it was a great day out with two very special fiends friends and a perfect birthday for me!! (Champagne on the train ride home and the train master announced/wished me a Happy Birthday over the train speaker systems – Embarrassing yes but still lovely!!)

Last Sunday, His lordship & I decided to go walking in the countryside with our two dalmatians. After a hearty breakfast, we set off and drove to Woldingham to do the Woldingham Countryside Walk.

It was a gorgeous day for a walk with the sun shining and a cool breeze blowing gently. But what REALLY top it off was when we came upon this beautiful woodland completely covered with bluebells.

Spent the day wandering around Newhaven with my good friend (and brilliant photographer) Randy & his partner Jay, his lordship & our two dalmatians – Ben & Jazmyn. We found a wonderful pub called The Hope Inn over at the west pier – Wonderfully welcoming and great food. But most of all, it’s a dog-friendly pub!!!

The day ended in Brighton, with several more beers enjoyed over at The Amsterdam Bar, situated on the seafront opposite Brighton’s famous Palace Pier.
